What initiatives do you have coming up in 2019 (and can we help)?

    Hi everyone,

The new year sure gets everyone talking about goals, resolutions, and initiatives-whether it's one person resolving to get healthy or an entire company resolving to finally streamline their workflows. I'm sure a lot of you have new initiatives for 2019, either for yourself or within your team, department, or organization.

This got me thinking about what sorts of initiatives our customers (i.e. all of you) have coming up over the next year, and, more importantly whether or not the community could help you with them. After all, somebody here has probably had to do that thing before. Topics can be explicitly related to Code42-like "I want to master Legal Hold this year"-or more general, like "We want to make new employee onboarding more pleasant for everyone."

Please share what you're planning for below, and we'll see what your fellow admins have to offer in terms of advice, tips, or brilliant insights. Thanks in advance for your contributions, and happy new year!

    We have a couple initiatives.
    1. Will be to move to the cloud.
    2. We want our users to be more educated to encourage more of a self service environment. For example we are looking to educate our legal team on how to use the Legal Hold functionality.

    Lindsay:
At Cornell, already being in the cloud, our initiatives are more mundane:
    • implement User Directory Sync tool/functionality
    • complete rollout of Code42 app to rest of community (principally, faculty - the tough nut)
    • create an "advisory group" of unit Org Admins to guide policy and practices for use of product on campus
    • enable API access via SSO for unit Org Admins

Our key initiatives related to CrashPlan:
    1. Continue to work with Code42 to improve connectivity through proxies
    2. Increase backup speed between clients and cloud
    3. Increase restoration speed for label hold group.
    4. Work to automate legal hold restores.
