Running the management console on ssl

Has anyone running a local management console converted it to SSL?  We are having issues.

We recently switched out on-premise authority server from using port 4282 for communication to 4287.

We've always used some sort of SSL/TLS.

We ran into two main issues during our change:
    1. Incorrectly created JKS. It needs the certs in a specific way
    2. Server application wasn't actually listening on port 4287.

We moved over to port 4287 with the 6.5 version upgrade and have not noticed any issues.  We did have to make a JKS twice using the Code42 KB as it was not passing the domain test on https://www.digicert.com/help/ because of missing intermediate certs in the chain.  The browser was ok with the cert but it was no good using a deployment policy.
