USMT Backup and Windows Profile Migration

    Hi all,
Was wondering if who is actively leveraging USMT and crashplan to migrate user profiles as well as the data. Curious on any issues you've run into and any feedback in general.
    Thank you,

The setup for USMT as described by Microsoft doesn't work.  There are a lot of tweeks that need to be done.

I created a document to help me through the install that includes the links and syntax from all the Microsoft and Code42 documents.

I have used the install for USMT on several computers but only completed one computer migration at this time with more scheduled soon.

We had been using USMT but moved to Code42 and have yet to move the data from USMT to the new Code42 profiles. Curious, though, what are the benefits of using both?

We've had a new requirement where they are looking to not only migrate the data, but also the applications and profile settings. Crashplan's built-in functionality to leverage USMT during our windows 10 migration might help us make the transition smoother, and minimize our techs or the user's themselves in customizing their experience back to the way it was in Windows 7. Haven't really had a chance to leverage it ourselves in our environment, but wanted to get some feedback from those who had.

Not quite sure if that is what you were wondering with your question.

I had been using USMT but was getting errors.  Found the little video on device replacement on the Code42 site.
With that insight I was able to get the files and settings restored.
Much easier that trying to figure out all the requirements for USMT.
