On April 10, 2024, the Code42 legacy agent reached end-of-life and can no longer connect to the Code42 cloud. All backups and Incydr monitoring of devices still using the legacy agent have ceased functioning, and new devices with the legacy agent cannot register.
Any device still using the legacy agent must now have the legacy agent manually uninstalled and the latest insider risk and backup agents installed for continued functionality.
To view devices using the legacy agent, go to Administration > Environment > Devices. Click Filter, then select Legacy from the Agent type menu.
What you need to do:
- Perform a standard uninstall of the legacy agent (so the identity file remains).
- Follow these steps to deploy both the insider risk and backup agents.
